If re-elected, I will continue to ensure that all residents are treated with fairness, respect and dignity while protecting constitutional rights.
Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison has devoted more than 20 years to public service as a sworn Washington State law enforcement officer, dedicating his career to protecting and serving the people of Chelan County. As the 19th elected Sheriff in the office’s 126-year history, he approaches the role with humility and a strong sense of responsibility, always mindful that the office belongs to the citizens served. Continuing a long-standing family tradition of public service, Mike believes effective law enforcement is grounded in fairness, respect, professionalism, and accountability. His experience as a city police officer, deputy sheriff, and elected Sheriff includes patrol operations, emergency response, training, school safety, and leadership. Each role has reinforced his commitment to community safety and public trust.
Under Mike’s leadership, the Sheriff’s Office has successfully managed some of the most complex and challenging events in Chelan County’s history, including fires, floods, and critical incidents, while remaining prepared, transparent, and accountable. A defining strength of this leadership has been the ability to successfully partner with multiple local, state, tribal, and federal agencies, as well as community organizations and public entities. These collaborations have not only strengthened long-standing partnerships but also expanded new relationships for the greater good of the county. Despite significant financial challenges for the county, essential services were preserved through responsible stewardship of public resources, while operations were enhanced through improved training, updated equipment, upgraded facilities, and increased transparency. Guided by law and professional standards, the Sheriff’s Office remains non-political, community-focused, and committed to serving Chelan County with integrity.
