I would like to express my opinion and feelings in regards to Mike Morrison running for Sheriff of Chelan County.

My name is Matt Gray and have 21 years in law enforcement. I have personally worked with Deputy Morrison. We both worked for the City of Omak at the same time and on the same shift. During our time with Omak I saw Mike handle calls for service, write reports, make arrests, and process evidence. This of course is any cops job as you would expect; but I watched Mike do so much more.

I also saw Mike become a symbol. Citizens loved him and fellow officers looked up to him. Mike became a great asset to the department and town. Senior officers would come to Mike for advice knowing he was smart and knowledgeable. People also knew Mike was honest and would only speak the truth.

He is well educated in department policy and state laws. He stays current as laws change. He has been deeply involved in his guild and supporting his peers.
I have the upmost trust and faith in Mike to be the next sheriff of Chelan County. I know he will make a great sheriff and leader just as he has also been a superior cop for well over a decade.
