I was Mike Morrison’s FTO (Field Training Officer) and Lead FTO when he first entered Law Enforcement. From the first day of training, I could tell there was something incredibly special about Mike. He was not just an average rookie cop, he was a step ahead of all others I had trained. Mike carried himself with pride and confidence and his intelligence was a gift that would take him further than most.

Having worked with Mike in the LEO industry only gives you one side of the Man. Not only was he an exceptional police officer, but he was also an amazing family man, devoted to his family, community, and country.

Prior to my leaving LEO in 2008 I remember having a talk with Mike and told him he was too gifted to be restrained by a small department and needed to move on to a bigger department or go Federal. I am proud of Mike and all he has done and accomplished in LEO, but also within his community and with his family. He is someone I still call a dear friend and look forward to seeing where this adventure takes him.
