I saw many changes in law enforcement during my 35 year career but none that compare to the current working conditions experienced by the men and women in law enforcement these days both here and nationally. Above all else, the greatest attribute a law enforcement officer can possess is the ability to communicate, to simply be able to talk to people. Procedure and rule changes happen, but communication is constant. I saw Mike utilize this skill many times during my years working with him.
